A 1,700-year old monument returns home.

Ethiopia, 2005. In the 1930s, Mussolini’s troops brought a 30-metre tall obelisk to Rome from Ethiopia. For years Ethiopia had tried to get it back; but transporting a 160-tonne national monument is a risky business. It was considered too dangerous to travel – until SkyLink entered the picture. We returned the obelisk home safe and sound in one of the single biggest single airlifts in history.
